BSC Glasgow   2  v  2  Cumbernauld Colts

CRAIG HOLMES scored a dramatic injury time equaliser as Colts earned a deserved point against BSC Glasgow.

Captain Greg Pascazio's strike was sandwiched by goals from Declan Hughes and Joe Irvine in each half at Alloa's Indodrill Stadium.

And it looked like the Cumbernauld men would leave Clackmannanshire empty handed before Holmes stunning strike at the death made it undefeated in six for Colts.

The game started out as a scrappy affair with both teams struggling to find their tempo on a very tight pitch.

The hosts drew first blood in 21 minutes when former Colts man Robbie Duncan cut in from the left and his mis-hit shot broke to Hughes on the edge of the box who thumped a left foot shot high past Jordan Pettigrew.

In took Colts until the stroke of half time to create their first real scoring chance when Jeff Fergus broke into the box and cut the ball back to Fraser Team who saw his effort deflected narrorly over the bar with BSC keeper Ross Sinclair at full stretch.

Colts changed their tactics after the break with a more direct approach and in the opening 10 minutes of the second period Sean Brown and half time sub Pedram Ardalani both went close to drawing the visitors level.

Colts were now looking much more of a threat in the final third with Holmes finding space on the right and his delivery into the box was causing the BSC defence some concern.

However, as Colts threw caution to the wind hoping to get back into the game the hosts were a real danger on the counter attack.

And in 70 minutes only a last ditch block by Scott Davidson denied Carlo Pignatiello grabbing the BSC second with a low drive from 10 yards.

Colts continued to pile on the pressure and in 78 minutes a corner from Colts caused caos in the BSC box. And the ball the was fed back out to Holmes on the right who played a great low cross to the back post and Pascazio was on hand to knock the ball low past Sinclair.

But just as Colts were beginning to think about a winner, disaster struck in 81 minutes when a long hopeful ball caused confusion in the Colts defence and with Pettigrew neither coming or staying on his line sub Irvine nipped in to lob the ball into the empty net.

Time was now running out for Colts, however in injury time their never say due attitude came to the fore when the ball dropped to Holmes 30 yards from goal and the winger sent an audacious right foot volley flying high past Sinclair into the net to take a share of the points.
