The Spartans certainly lived up to their name, especially in the first half: athletic, strong, fast and combative. This is the Colts first heavy defeat and the first occasion when they were outplayed. Even the unexpected support of a group of chanting Germans couldn't lift the Colts performance. Nevertheless the Colts forced themselves into the game in the second half and if they had scored a goal early on they might have been able to stage a recovery. I console myself with the knowledge that the Spartans, themselves, have suffered two defeats so far this season and have drawn three times, so they are not invincible. In fact they are still only three points ahead of Colts and we have a game in hand.
