Title: Climbing the league
Post by: ErnSal on August 29, 2015, 06:55:17 PM
Didn't manage to travel to Selkirk but saw the score on the lowland league website. A 5-3 victory!!! Superb!!! Tried to scroll through the blog to discover the scorers but it only scrolled far enough to see that our Selkirk scored against Selkirk. ( Is that irony?) Look forward to discovering the other scorers.
By my reckoning we've had one below par performance and five great games. With a bit of luck we could have been at the top of the table. After all, no team is undefeated. If we won our game in hand we would only be four points behind the leaders. There is no team in this league that Colts need to fear. Keep on climbing the league. Well done lads!
Forza Colts!!!

It certainly was another good spectacle Ernsal. Report will be up tomorrow hopefully, in the meantime scorers for you:
Selkirk, Barclay, Selkirk, Broadfoot, Oliver.  Selkirk also hit the bar with a penalty for his hat trick, the rebound of which led to a second penalty (converted by Oliver) and a red card for handball on the line.

2 full debuts in David Grant and Alex Tilley as well as young Cammy McKay from our under 20's coming on for the last 10 minutes or so to make his senior debut with his under 20's colleague Ryan Milne added late to the bench.

Overall a good away day for the Colts!

Thanks, Admin. It's great to see so many different players scoring goals. It is also amazing that that despite changes to the starting eleven every week, perhaps with one exception, the players produce such good performances.
I look forward to the match report.
